Our families little slice of heaven on earth!

My name is Abbie. My husband Chris and I wanted a space to share as we grow our farm. We will share all our triumphs and struggles on our next chapter growing our hobby farm. 

 We are a blended family of 8, with 4 of the children still living at home. Our children range from 22 years old to 18 months old.  We are starting from the beginning and that is finalizing the purchase of our farm. 

This is an exciting and nerve wrecking time all at the same time. Chris and I have dreamt of this for years. For chris, his requirements were more than 5 acres, a shop, space for animals, a barn, and out buildings. For me the requirements were the harder part to fill. I wanted a big victorian or colonial house built before 1910 with minimal cosmetic updates. I wanted a garage, a walk up attic, usable basement, garden shed and space for gardens.  We hit the jackpot when we stumbled across a property that was just meant for us. Things couldn’t have fallen in place more perfectly. We both got everything on our dream home lists. 

We started our search years ago but it wasn’t till recently that we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. When we found this place. It wasn’t on the market and no for sale signs. The owners were busy and couldn’t come to show it to us for three weeks. It was the longest three weeks of my life it seemed at the time. We were given permission to look around the property, and we did just that! I peaked in the window and saw a beautiful 1910 stair case railing. I was in love.  At that very moment I looked at Chris and said call them I want the house I don’t care what the rest of the inside looks like, or the condition.  Don’t get me wrong by that statement this house is in fantastic shape for being built in 1910. It’s been very well kept. I knew this was the house and property we have been looking for and I had to have it.
